Similar to other five to six year old girls my answer varied from gymnast to princess to chef. Wanting to be a chef became my goal. As I grew up and became a freshman in high school I was given the opportunity to be a member of a competitive culinary team. High school went on and I fell in love with food, restaurants, and special events. More importantly I fell in love with the people who worked with food, owned restaurants, and planned special events.
I had ideas, but I didn’t have anything I was extremely passionate about yet. My junior year, while I was going through a rough patch in my life, I started to work at a daycare to get my mind off things and make a couple extra dollars. After only a couple shifts at the daycare, my passion was incredibly clear… teaching children. I was able to help children who needed me and it made me feel an incredible sense of worth at a time when I felt worthless. The way their problems were so small, the way they smile endlessly, and the way they were so innocent and untouched by the troubles of the world made me want to always be around them.
At a very young age I have decided what I would be doing with my life. The most perfect plan was tread in my head. The main goal was set my education as priority, focus in studying the most and the fast that I could. That also means not getting married or having children until I finish my education. By 16 birthday I had already finished high school, at 18 obtained an associated in fashion design.
The Art in Education In first grade we had to draw a picture of what we would be doing 20 years from then. We had to draw what job we would have, what our hair would look like, what we would be wearing, and I chose to draw a picture of me drawing a picture. As a first grader I knew that my future would mirror what I was doing in that exact moment; I would still have curly hair, and I would still be an artist. Loudly proclaiming that I was going to be an artist when I grew up was ok in elementary school, but at the end of middle school it was often challenged with “but what are you really going to be?”
My five-year plan is first to graduate high school and has enough scholarship to pay for my college education. Then go to college and figure out what job I want to do in life. Then hopefully by the time I am in college, finding what my career path will be. That is my

This spawned an inevitable future. By drawing stories that had already been written I started to then make my own stories and characters. Drawing became part of my identity. Both in my family and at school I was identified as an “artsy kid.”
I was afraid of applying for colleges because I was not striving for perfection. I began college as a freshman at Central Michigan University thinking I was going to become an elementary teacher. I knew I wanted to make an impact on peoples lives but after my first week of classes, I remember telling myself becoming a teacher is not how I wanted to do it. I went to my counselor and added a social work course to my schedule. I had finally found courses I enjoyed taking and academically excelled in. Which brings me to where I am now, pursuing my degree in social work.

Our Differences is Something to be Proud about About 50% of kids get bullied in 4-12 grade by other students while about 30% bully others. Most people get bullied or have felt alone/ left out. People can feel this way anytime, but mainly during 4-12 grade. Everyone is different one way or another. Our differences are what makes us unique.
The Profession of Social Work as a Career Goal Graduating from high school, I have always had a passion working with kids. I never put into thought exactly what I wanted to do with kids, all I knew was that I wanted to work with kids. At first, my career choice was to become a midwife. There were several complications down the road, in which I could no longer pursue that career choice.
At this time in our very lives we are planning for the future and making a ladder for ourselves of goals to reach. As you climb higher on the ladder you find yourselves aspiring to take actions that may be more difficult than we imagined. This is just the beginning and we do not give up. As the years come faster I made a list of the things that I am planning on persuing. My major career goal is to go into buisness, and within the buisness industry I want to become a Human Resources Manager.
When I graduate high school, I plan on having future goals that I plan on achieving. My first goal is to go to college and get a degree. I plan on attending Purdue NorthWest majoring in engineering and minoring in business. This is my number one future goal that I need to accomplish because to be able to have a nice life, I need to go to college to support my future family. My next future goal would be get a starting job to be able to support my future family.
