You can do a lot without a college degree, but it does help you build experience and for some jobs a college degree is required. One of the biggest reasons college degrees is worth it is due to the amount of jobs offered to people without a college degree is greatly decreasing. Everyday there are less and less jobs for high school graduates without college degrees.
Today most people go to college in order to make their family proud or to get a high paying job that will make them look successful. However, if the only reason that a person goes to college is to make their family proud then they probably are not going to succeed because their heart is not in it. Also, if people are just going to college in order to get a high paying job then they most likely will not be happy with their career that they will spend the rest of their life doing. I have chosen to attend college because I want to earn my degree in order to work my dream job that I will enjoy. I am going to college because I want to become a Human Resources Manager which means I will major in Business with a concentration in Human Resources.
Why do I want to attend college? College is an honorary achievement and it separates the determined from the undetermined. Owning a college to degree is an honor and an ecstatic feeling. Through college, that job is that much closer in the grasp. Through college, a person can perform at an elite level and really push themselves for greatness.
