There are several personal strengths with which I have self-identified, that I believe will assist in allowing me to successfully complete my journey through the doctoral program. Chief among these is what I would define as my stress management skills. In that I mean my personal ability to handle common stressors stems directly from my lifelong practice of both meditating and utilizing common relaxation techniques. Also, among my strengths is my ability to manage both the time and travel required attending the residencies and how theses interruptions to my routine will place further stress on my normal activities and responsibilities. In essence, becoming proficient in my writing and in the organization and expression of my ideas in a scholarly manner would be my personal meaning of achieving success in the doctoral program. By the same token, I believe that my personal and professional life experience will prove to be a vital asset in my completion of the doctoral program. As, I have over ten years of relevant practice in government, planning, communication, costumer services and online work environments, including a period where I worked in a clinical setting during the process of upgrading their system from paper to electronic health records, by supporting the project management team throughout the various phases of implementation. This involved assisting on a Strategic Planning committee, managing timetables, and organizing meeting minutes, maintaining action steps, and developing social media interactions.
