Lunch Out
School lunches have a bad reputation for being foul, and with the pickiness of Kids, They say the food is bland and unhealthy. I however, love the lunches at our school. Extending time for lunch would mean we get out later from school, and why go out to lunch when someone already made lunch. I understand that adolescents like the responsibility and independence that they get from being on their own. Going out to lunch however, is a big price to pay for the insignificant amount of independence they receive. The rest of the school has to stay late so that someone could go grab lunch at a restaurant. Extending lunch by one hour to allow students to eat out would extend school hours, squander money and food, and isn’t enough time to go get food.

Their seasonal breaks start later than ours and spend their free time at work to help us comprehend challenging topics. We always complain about how uch work we have and about how little time we have to finish our work, and this is how teachers feel when they have to stay to grade our work because they know we want to know our grade. To subject them to later hours is unacceptable and will take away from time they need to have for themselves. Not only will the staff have to stay longer though. The students do, too. We as students already spend too much time on homework and studying. Having late lunches will take away from what limited free time we have left in the day. This would make us stay up late to finish our work, and not be as productive the following day because we stayed up to
