7.4 billion people living in the world and the world keeps growing at an alarming rate. One child is born every eight seconds but one death every 11 seconds. The world has a net gain of one person every 15 seconds. Our births and deaths don't keep us at a steady population anymore, the births are higher than the deaths. In order to curb population growth it is necessary to raise awareness of birth control options or other options for people who aren’t ready or don't want parenthood.

Although it is a very sad and sometimes depressing thing to have to do, it is an option that some people should or could consider. It is a rising procedure, three out of every ten women have had an abortion before the age of forty-five. An abortion can be done two ways, by abortion pills or by a surgery. The abortion surgery is actually less expensive than the birth control options, being only (on average) four hundred and fifty-one dollars and abortion pills can cost anywhere between three hundred and eight hundred dollars which is more expensive almost like the birth control. There are a couple problems with this, the abortion pills have to be taken before the woman is nine weeks pregnant and the abortion surgery has to happen before the woman is sixteen weeks pregnant otherwise they are too far along to stop their pregnancy. And if a teenage girl got pregnant she may not tell her family soon enough (if you are under eighteen you have to have parent permission) and abortion may not be an option anymore. Another problem with abortion is it can cause major depression in some women. Right after it is done, many women feel relieved but soon after the guilt starts to set in. They feel guilty for taking away a human life that hasn't gotten a chance to live. Or maybe if they were feeling relief there was someone unsupportive of their decision and they introduced the feeling of guilt to the situation. If
