Ban Bottled Water.
Did you know that people spent “11.8 billion dollars on bottled water in 2012,” according to Matthew Boesler. And all that money is going up every year. All that money could be spent on feeding hungry or giving electricity to people. All that money is going down the drain. I think we should put a ban to the treachery that is bottled water.
People spend way too much money on bottled water. The bottled water is a huge money making industry. They have made billions of dollars a year. BIllions of dollars that are just going to waste. According to businessinsider.com,“Bottled Water Costs 2000 Times As Much As Tap Water.” All those billions and billions of dollars can be used for feeding the hungry, giving electricity, finding cures for cancer, saving animals, and much more. We can use those billions of dollars if we just buy a reusable water bottled. They cost about $10, and can be used for a long time. …show more content…

According to greengarageblog.org,“This means nearly 900,000 tons of plastic, which also take 17 million barrels of oil to produce.” Greengarageblog.org also stated,”What’s worse, it is found that only 20% of these bottles make it to the recycling bin.” That means that 720000 pounds of plastic bottles are ending up in landfills, oceans, and in the Earth. According to postconsumers.com, it takes 450 years for the plastic bottles to decompose, which is a long time. That 900,000 pounds of plastic could be used for making useful materials.
