It is hard to keep head in the climate change discussion for long as it is considered a hindrance in progression in the globalized world. People, being rational, are in a state of ecological amnesia but deny as they fear that facing the full reality will change their surroundings and their lifestyles. I, being a rational human being, was among these people until one day I realised that my car tyres are wedged so deep in the parking lot as if it was a melted cement rather than pavement. Climate change will adversely affect the world, major cities will be drowned, societies and cultures will sunk in the sea, and future generation will spend their lives fleeing from extreme weather conditions such as drought and storms. Till the past decade, humans were too busy to deal with climate issues but now it is realised and discussed in the international organizations to formulate a Marshall Plan for earth. Climate change never received the attention till the 2009 “climate gate” emails scandals underpinned the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) policies (Wynne, 2010). A relation exists between the scientific knowledge of climate patterns and the policies implemented by countries. The cut to greenhouse gases were firstly proposed in Kyoto Protocol 1997 as carbon emissions are essential to mitigate to create a sustainable environment. Mass movements of people along with the political policies may reduce the climate change issues. This paper will discuss climate change adaptation and mitigation policies and discuss the conditions affecting adaptive capacity of
