The Indianapolis Motor Speedway, a racing venue located in Indianapolis suburb Speedway, Indiana, is the host venue of the Indianapolis 500. On race days IMS offers fans the opportunity to arrive early and watch the drivers do practice laps. The Friday prior to race week is known as Fast Friday, an event in which drivers continue their practice and do their qualification draw at the IMS’s Coke Stage. The weekend prior to race day is when the drivers qualify for their spots for the Indianapolis 500. They also offer victory lap experience that allows fans to be in a two-seat car and experience a fast lap on the track like their heroes (Things to Do...). On Friday, two days before the race, Indianapolis Motor Speedway hosts “Carb Day” which offers various events for the fans. On this day all the race car drivers will be stationed at their respective garages and fans are able to interact with the drivers by asking them questions, getting autographs, and seeing the cars they will be driving on race day. “Carb Day” is a great experience for all types of fans, from the die-hard fans to the light fans. Also, fans get to interact with their favorite drivers and meet new drivers who are going to be racing the Indianapolis 500.
