Imagine being diagnosed with a rare form of cancer that has no cure. Would you choose to end your life with one little pill? Many choose the easy way out and doctors prescribe the prescription so the person does not suffer. The sad thing is that they pick euthanasia even though it goes against God’s wishes. The penalty should be death for those who assist in this horrendous act. Wesley Smith and Brian Mishara define euthanasia like this, “Euthanasia occurs when one person ends the life of another person for the purpose of ending the killed persons pain or suffering.” This is in no way right. The person doing the killing should have no involvement with this because it is not right. They may not think that it is murder, but it is. You are taking away someone’s life. “In Oregon, Vermont, Washington, Montana, and California it is still legal for physician assisted suicide by court order,” (“State-by-State Guide…”). It should be illegal everywhere. All of the doctors should have to serve the death penalty for helping in this sickening act. Some say that they request to be put out of their misery. Citizens see murder and killing as two different things. If the U.S. said euthanasia was ok, then the public would not see it as murder or killing. In Exodus 20:13 it clearly says “You shall not murder,” which is also one of the commandments (Biblegateway.com). God would not clearly say “You should not murder,” if he did not mean it. He created everyone in his image, and he does not want his image to be killed. In the words of Job 33:4 “The Spirit of God has made me. And the breath of the Almighty gives me life,”
