Euthanasia is a debated issue as it involve someone’s life be for voluntary euthanasia or non-voluntary. A considerable size of society support Euthanasia mostly because they feel that as a democratic nation, we as free individuals, have the right to make our own decision. However the right to choose when to die does not belong to us. I believe euthanasia is wrong with the following reasons.
The definition clearly stated that euthanasia is directly or indirectly bringing out the death of another person for that person. Most euthanasia supporter only supported voluntary euthanasia because it seems like the best option for terminally ill patients. Firstly, the patients themselves are not wholly willing to do it. Financial burden from health care cost and pain suffered would definitely contribute to the decision to perform it. As well as not wanting the family member to suffer with them. For those patients that are unable to decide for themselves, external pressure and low percentage of survival would lead to their unwilling death. Secondly, euthanasia will harm the family, the physician and medical staff. Not all doctor are willing to perform this act as it go against their moral. Sometime this will disrupt their mentality. They will feel guilty all their life after performing Physician-assisted suicide, which is the killing of a person by the person's own hand with the help of a physician. Family also will face great distress knowing that they allow an act of murder towards their child. Although financial burden and the pain of seeing their family suffering helps to influence their decision but when the child dies because of the family decision. It will affect them more with critics from external pressure which will enhanced their suffering. Lastly it will harm the society. Euthanasia will makes society thinks life can be taken away easily when someone does not want to live. More problem will arise when young teen and kids start to think about their life and the value of choices they make with their life. Society will have to deal with all this problems. Society
