Within the last decade, 1,600 school districts in the United States are using a four-day model schedule. All around the country, many researchers say that they believe a four-day week is beneficial for teachers and students. Switching to a four-day week can help schools save money in many ways, and a four-day week will allow the week to be more manageable. Also, the school day would only be longer by about an hour. Overall, schools should switch to a four-day week. One reason schools should transition to a four-day week is that schools would save money in many ways. They can save money for food for transportation, also hire more teachers and coaches, and like programs for schools. The author states,” The Colorado Department of Education says …show more content…

It can help with academics like if the students do sports in clubs or anything it could be scheduled at a good time in the four-day week of school. It could make it more manageable.
