The Protection of Gun Right

Have you ever thought about what makes up our constitutional right to own and possess firearms? Or why they are affected so much after a mad man goes on a shooting rampage? Just because someone misuses a gun does not mean that the other majority in society have to have them taken away. If they applied the same rules to drunk driver then the cars in the world today would be banned for being too fast. With reasons like that it is why are gun rights should be protected.

The first thing that is affected by the use of gun control is people's individual rights. In the second amendment it states that we as citizens of the U.S. have the right to own and possess firearms. This means it infringes on the right when there is gun control issues pushed on people. The second way this affects individual rights is it takes away the right of people that can protect themselves in crimes. In the United states there is 371 million guns with a ban on them there is no good way to collect these guns along with keeping them out of the hands of criminals. (Justfacts.com) 2017. Since police officers use guns to protect people that would be widely affected. Since if there was a ban on guns probably only a certain number of cops would still be able to carry guns. Also this would have a dramatic affect on crime since with there being less firearms there will be less legal gun owners with their weapons so criminals will realize that they will have less people putting up a fight to the crimes they will be committing.
