Children are one of the best things that happen to couples, and many parents want to give their child opportunities to succeed by putting in all their time and effort towards them. In many cases, parents start to implement their own values on their child and they start to cross the line between being supportive and too involved. Their involvement begins to negatively affect the child’s development and can lead to issues such as depression and anxiety in young adults (“Helicopter Parents”).
