To nobody's surprise “The United States has the largest illegal immigrant population of any country”(galegroup). When talking about immigration you need know that are two forms of immigration. The first kind being illegal immigration and it is “the migration of people across national borders in a way that violates the immigration laws of the destination country”(wiki). The second kind being immigration itself and it is when you follow the legal process to go into a country and get permission. People are most concerned about illegal immigrants and their doings. Immigrants are coming from all to the united states because they believe it's the best place to go, and immigration laws are light and hardly enforced. Immigration is a huge topic among many americans and politicians. People are either ok with immigration or against it. Although everyone has a different opinion about immigration, most would agree immigration needs reform. More people are against immigration than for it according to Bloomberg Businessweek. In fact in one of their polls states that 61 percent of Americans agree that continued immigration into the country jeopardizes the united states. Little has been done to help this issue and what has been done has failed. “President Obama pressed Mexico’s president to work alongside the U.S. government to prevent a new surge of illegal immigrants” and “also promised a new emphasis on border security”(thehill). These two things hardly affected anything. American leaders aren't stressing immigration enough. They need to set aside their differences and enforce current laws and make new ones. Hundreds of thousands of illegal immigrants enter the US every year. Immigrants are getting in because of weak border control and light immigration
