“We are unstoppable”, the crowd screamed as the battle against immigration at New York University broke loose (Sanctuary). Many wonder is this mindset enough to take down Donald Trump and his beliefs against immigration? Protests have broken out nationwide to do just that. Immigration has the potential to grow America, building it better than it has been and putting the U.S. back in front of other countries despite what Trump believes. Illegal immigration has been a problem for many years. While Barack Obama was in office, he mainly focused on deporting immigrants who committed crimes, not as much on those who were trying to make a life for themselves. Now that Trump has entered office, many immigrants worry for their lives. Despite the work they have done to hide and protect themselves, they know their story may end in tragedy. Trump plans to send them all back to their prior countries and build a wall so that illegal immigration from Mexico will become next to impossible. Terrorism does not just happen because of outsiders, sometimes insiders are the worst enemy. How is building a wall between Mexico and America gonna help America come out of debt? Trump says that Mexico is going to pay for it, but how is that going to work? Also, what if Mexico doesn’t pay for it? The U.S. is already in major debt and immigration actually helps us work our way out of that debt with the amount of taxes being paid. Immigrants are not looked at as equals, but as less than an average person. There is no reason to build a wall or not allow a young adult to go to school and get an education or refuse to give anyone a job. We have bigger issues to worry about than building a wall and keeping America
