Marijuana has been debated if it should be legal as a medical option and I say yes it should. I say yes marijuana should be legal as a medical option because it helps reduce pain from cancer and injuries. AIDS patients are able to gain weight and keep their medication down due to marijuana. Also doctors prescribe a certain amount to help a patient deal with a health issue. To begin with, marijuana helps reduce pain from cancer and injuries. Studies have found that marijuana is helpful treatment of neuropathic pain and cancer chemotherapy. For example according to the website (www.cancer.org) it states “A number of small studies of smoked marijuana found that it can be helpful in treating nausea and vomiting”. The website also states “A few studies have found that inhaled (smoked or vaporized) marijuana can be helpful treatment of neuropathic pain”. This evidence proves my reasoning that marijuana helps cancer patients and injuries. Second off, marijuana helps AIDS patients stay healthy. “Marijuana helps AIDS patients gain weight and keep their medication down”.
