The use of the recreational drug known as marijuana has been a controversial subject in the political world for years. Medical Marijuana has not yet been approved by the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) although it has proven to carry medicinal traits. Cannabis is illegal in most parts of this country due to the fact it is classified as a drug, however, as said before, it has been proven to carry numerous beneficial effects. Smoking marijuana can have long, and short term effects. Some short term effects can be after you consume it you can inhibit memory loss for less than an hour, which isn't really much of a problem. Another very common symptom is severe anxiety, or the gaining the sense that someone is following you. This can cause the user to become extremely paranoid. You can be seven times more likely to conceive a sexual transmitted infection. Those are just some short term effects, long term can affect more than just your body it can affect your work, or even your relationships with other people. It can also trigger you to steal money or to become a constant perjurer. Some even claim it's a gateway drug. However, it's all based on the user and whether they do, or don't, have an addictive personality.
