Mandatory Testing In Thailand Essay

Mandatory testing means for the test that required by law or mandate that everyone has to take even they don’t want to. Actually, in high school mandatory testing is required as the part of the basic education system. Thai education structure was different in another country, in Thailand we use the structure that called 6-3-3: Primary education for 6 years, lower secondary for 3 years and upper secondary for 3 years. As the law now stands, Thai student normally has to take mandatory testing every 2-3 years. However, for that admission Thai student also required to take mandatory testing again and this time it almost more than 10 tests in a year. This kind of testing is not unnecessary for the student because they will not get anything that can use in real life. Most of the student just only learn to take the test and then after they taking it they just forgot it, so what the main point of having mandatory testing. The topic that the school has been teaching some of them were out of syllabus that means even they learn ,they will not get anything from it so why this kind of thing have to be taught to student?. It also makes the student wasting money because the school only teach a basic lesson but the test was using an advanced lesson that is too hard for them so they have to pay for an extra class outside the school to find the way to get more knowledge that enough for the test. Also, the student have to pay for the test registration that I cost money and this kind of test actually the student needs to sign up for more than one subject and some are so expensive such as TOEFL and IELTS. Nevertheless, even it expensive the student and parents still sign up for it because they believe that it will make their child get more opportunity in
