Peer Pressure Why is peer pressure so irresistible? Can we not control our judgments on what we do and say? Many teens struggle on their daily life, whether it being alcohol or smoking, or just even the words that come out of a person’s mouth. Many people start their own interventions to help these teens that struggle to end this peer pressure. However, most of these influences don’t work because of the idea that people think its okay to do these things because they are just telling us not to, not that we have to go by their words. In the contrary, try to be the person to stay away of these bad influences and be the person to have success in your life.
Why do teens light it up? Teenagers smoke for some of the same reasons they always have; it looks cool and they identify it with rebellion. Most guy teenagers do it to join the crowd so they can fit in like some of their friends. However, sometimes they do it because one of their girlfriend or with their family. Why would girls smoke? Young girls love to wear baby tees, belly-baring halter tops, and spaghetti-strap tanks just to flaunt and show off more of their bodies. However, that means more self-scrutiny and inevitable self-criticism sooner. Given these pressures, smoking may seem like a quick fix for dieting.
