Imagine a world where people consumed deadly poisons like carbon monoxide and ammonia just for fun or to look cool. Sadly, our world already does this but in the form of smoking. However, instead of consuming just one or two poisons, there are about 4,000 deadly chemicals held in only one cigarette, 43 of which are cancerous. Smoking started thousands of years ago between 3,000 to 5,000 B.C. where tobacco originated in the Andes. To this very day, smoking has developed to where more and more people are allowed to choose the way that they want to inhale tobacco. Whether one chooses to chew, smoke a cigar, a cigarette, pipes, hookahs or even dissolvable tobacco, it will still harm a person’s body in ways unimaginable. For instance, from years after years of consuming this deadly formula at such a young age, a man nearly died from pneumonia. Pneumonia is just one out of the countless diseases that smoking brings to the body. Stress is common for those who smoke and often times, people look to smoking as an alternative to losing weight, relieving stress or most commonly, both. This product is very deadly and popular to society. Once one takes a puff of this poisonous stick, the addiction will kick in and there will be no turning back. However, the pain doesn’t stop there, for the government, although attempting to ban smoking by placing a “No Smoking in Public” sign has little effect, the government would rather take the millions of dollars that they gain than encourage the ban of it’s most valued source of money.
