Brynn Parker Ms. Barnett English 7 2/20/2024 Pluto Pluto is about 3.6 billion miles away from the sun. But, why is Pluto not a planet anymore? Well, Pluto is now classified as a dwarf planet because it is not big enough to exert its orbital dominance. Even though it's not big enough, it doesn't mean Pluto can’t be a planet anymore. I feel Pluto should be a planet because it still orbits the sun and has enough mass to be round.
Space has always been a place of curiosity for human beings; whether we should worship the gods that hide right behind the stars or simply dream to explore it one day. As we move into the 21st century, some people still question what actions should be considered when thinking about space travel. To the leaders of Nepal, Due to the recent events that have occurred on Mt. Everest, I propose that you make the restrictions on getting to Everest more than just monetary. In addition to the fees you should include certain requirements to receive a permit. These restrictions should have to do with the climbing ability or record of the individual attempting to climb any one of your unique mountains. This way it will not only make Everest safer, but also the other mountains of the Himalayas safer.
You get pushed down a worn wooden uphill path; shoved, kicked, and punched to get to an unknown destination. You look back at your family, but they’re at the bottom of the high incline, they leave you to fend for yourself. You feel every blow as you board a strange abandoned looking roller coaster, you board and suddenly a blind fold covers your eyes and your off before you can get buckled down. You start with a gasp, speeding through the rickety track fast and can’t slow down the rapid travelling cart as you fly up and down, hitting your head and body on each turn of the seemingly never ending track. Your family shouting from below tries to catch everything you drop and tries to help, but they don’t feel the blows, they don’t know the stress of the unknown, they don’t know how to help.

The first attempt and success to climb Mt. Everest occured in 1953. Since then, almost 4,000 people have been able to scale the mountain, but over 230 people have not been able to climb it successfully. There is a chance of accident or death when climbing this mountain or any dangerous activity. All people should should have the right to rescue services even if they knowingly put themselves at risk because there is always a chance of an accident happening, rangers are there to save people in danger, and there are rescue vehicles being produced to be used in case of an emergency.
Running, that word gives many people different emotions that range all the way from disgust to excitement. Most people will say that they would never willingly run, at least not without some motivation and other people might even say that they enjoy it. This is why the sport of cross country is so strange to people, in fact it is strange to me as well that people would willingly run, despite the fact that I actually run cross country. The main reason that people don 't think running is fun is because it is so physically challenging. Running requires you to always be on your game, the slightest injury or distraction can prevent you from doing your best.
Do you believe In Unidentified flying objects? Unidentified flying objects or UFOs are suspected to house aliens. I believe that UFOs and aliens are real and should be investigated by scientists. Aliens are the beings that are the ones who fly these UFOs. There are many people that believe in UFO and Aliens because of events that have happened.
Colonizing Mars Mars is often voted by people as being the most likely place for humans to colonize after we are done with Earth. This is often said because of Mars’s similar size to Earth and similar climate. However, Mars might not be the best place to go when we decide to make our first extra-terrestrial home. Whether you believe we should colonize another planet or not, evidence proves that moving to Venus is both logical and cost effective. There is much more promise in visiting Venus and much more we can learn.
THE AIRPLANE The airplane is an astonishing invention known to humankind. It was never imagined that it could be possible to imitate the birds in the sky, that was until the year of 1903. The Wright Brothers were the first men to invent the first working aircraft in December 17. Nevertheless the airplane has proven to show many setbacks to harm society.
In the Road Not Taken Robert Frost explains how the less traveled road would look like. This is important for me because most people are followers. By being a follower you only set an example for no one. By being your own leader you set an example for others to do better. When it comes to the fork in the road most people will choose the easy way.
Many people think that space exploration is a waste of money. They think that people shouldn’t be looking to the stars and that space exploration is unnecessary. Then there is the people who think otherwise. People from NASA, or people who just in general love space ,want to fund for the cause. They think that space can help the economy improve and that there is more to space than stars and a bunch of planets.
Have you ever wondered if time travel is possible? If so how would you use it? Space travel has been a question to many astronomers from around the world. According to space.com”We cannot avoid moving into our futures, but we can control the rate that we move through time.” So this is saying that space travel is possible we encounter it daily and it is possible to manipulate it.
