There’s more to sports then just concussions
All my live I have been fascinated by sports and the lifestyle and I know this is what I wanted to do for the rest of my life. Anything that I can do with this exciting lifestyle I wanted to do. I want to play at a pro level, then I thought about the future I wanted have and go into a little deeper than just the court or field. I found out that there is more to this then you can even imagine. So I wanted to let the kids in middle school and their parents to let them know what they were really getting them self or kids into. So I thought about the pros and cons of playing in an organized sport.
What I know
Stepping out of the car in your clean and wrinkle free jersey, smiling feeling like a total bad A and thinking today is the day. All day I think about the game, the clock goes by so slow on game day. I found out they did a survey about the percentage in how many kids in a random high school to show the percentage of them will get some sort of in. 1282 student were examined over a year of research. 746 were boys and 537 girls, 22% rate of injures. A total of 280 students were injured in a school year, over half (57%) of those were just sprains and strains. 87 of those students went and say a physical therapist and 5 of those 280 student had to get surgery done on the injury. There 5 million adolescents predicating in some sort of sport in high school. If this was just in one school and the same rat happens in all school even thou some school are bigger and smaller there is over a million students will have some sort of injury in high school in only a year.
