Standardized testing is a stressful time for both students and teachers, so why should they make it worse for them? Kids get stressed out over standardized test. Sometimes teachers get more stressed than the kids. Your scores take over three months come back. These test have been stressing kids out more and more over the years and we have to do something about it.
Kids get stressed out mostly because they get tested so much. Americans are actually the most tested kids in the world. And since they have these test the kids get stressed out. On greatschools. org they say “One of the most commonly cited is standardized test stress.” My neighbor has PSSAs this week and he has been so stressed out over them ever since he found out about them. On wsj. com they say “Teachers lose jobs over test scores.” They have to do the directions exactly as they say it my teacher couldn’t even read the question to us. “Teachers are feeling more stressed than ever.” says expert Rodney A. McCloy. This proves that teachers have been getting more stressed out
You don’t get your test scores back for months. The kids get scared when they forget all about them and they find out the scores are coming in a week. Last year I took the test in march and didn’t get scores back until may. “The scores for march SAT are available in may.” They say on college readiness. collegeboard.org. The College Board News has been clear that they are delaying march SAT results. This proves that it takes a long time to get your test back which stresses out teachers and kids.
You could argue that they want to see what level your brain is at. But here is the thing this could take away more brain space and the kids won’t be able to focus in the afternoon
