The Treaty Of Versailles World war one was a war filled with blood a misery that left europe devastated after the war had ended, All the people of europe thought that the great war would be the war to end all wars. After world war one a man named Woodrow Wilson attempted to come up with 14 points to try and prevent all of the future wars. Not all of Woodrow's recommendations were part of the final agreement which was known as the Treaty Of Versailles. The Treaty of versailles was signed on june 28th, 1919 marked at the end of world war one and was ironically the cause of world war II. The signing of the treaty of versailles took place at the great palace of versailles located in france. The four allied countries Britain, Italy, United States and france all came together to discuss what punishment germany should receive for the total devastation created by the war that they have started. These four allied countries were furious that they had lost so much from the war and gained so little, meanwhile germany's land was practically untouched. These allies decided that germany was the country that would be held accountable for the war in the war guilt clause, which led to germany having to pay all the reparations for their actions. Germany was also ordered to strip down their military to only 100,000 men, germany was also ordered to pay for all the damage done to all of the other countries starting with 5 billion dollars out of the 32 billion dollar bill. Not only did germany have to disarm men and pay for all the damage but they had to give away land that they have previously won, since they have destroyed france's coal producing lands germany had to give
