Brynn Parker Ms. Barnett English 7 2/20/2024 Pluto Pluto is about 3.6 billion miles away from the sun. But, why is Pluto not a planet anymore? Well, Pluto is now classified as a dwarf planet because it is not big enough to exert its orbital dominance. Even though it's not big enough, it doesn't mean Pluto can’t be a planet anymore. I feel Pluto should be a planet because it still orbits the sun and has enough mass to be round.
FALCON 9 MAKES HISTORY IN SPACE TECHNOLOGY H ave you ever thought that the Rockets will be reused for space journeys? Strange right! But it is now possible due to the advancement made by Elon Musk’s SpaceX. Not too far into the future we will be reusing rockets for travelling to mars or any other planets.
There has recently been photos that have been shown of the mysterious planet of Pluto. By the looks of it, we should bundle up, bring our snowboarding gear, and fly off to Pluto and do some skiing and snowboarding! The New Horizons probe revealed these pictures to the public. NEW HORIZONS PLUTO PHOTOS FINALLY CAME The New Horizon actually took these high definition photos of Pluto way back in their flyby in July.
The privatization of space companies have opened up orbital access to poorer countries and brought a commercial aspect to space exploration. Corporations envision humans traveling into space tourists, an avenue that would expand the horizons of humans on Earth. Expert Taylor Dinerman pointed out that “asteroids [can] be mined for precious minerals that are unavailable or exhausted on Earth. Even better, the privatization of the space industry would lead to greater competition which would theoretically
The race to space was a test of American spirit, a beautiful conglomeration of teamwork and nationalism. Despite America not reaching space first, the challenge displayed the benefits of competition on an international level which significantly increase productivity and efficiency. Throughout history several prominent themes have revealed themselves as strong driving factors that spurred industry, and identified a nation. However underlying all of the crucial aspects of our American society is the theme of competition. Competition occurs in many ways whether it is internally among American business or externally on an international scale.
In 2007, the Bush administration signed off on a plan to increase federal funding for sexual education to schools for teaching abstinence-only sex education. Abstinence-positive sex ed, similar to abstinence-only in that it praises chastity, proves that refraining from sex until marriage is the best option to avoid teen pregnancy, human immunodeficiency virus (HIV), and sexually transmitted diseases (STDs), unlike abstinence-only. Abstinence-only sex education programs should not be funded by the government because of its theological background, misinformative, and ineffective curriculum. To start off, abstinence only sex education should not be funded by the government because it has a theological background.
Pro-Choice “77% of Anti-Abortion Leaders are men, 100% of them will never be pregnant” (Barbara Kruger). Whether to continue or end a pregnancy, has been a long debated topic, extending long after the Roe v. Wade case that went all the way to the Supreme court (ProCon). Abortion is defined as the intentional termination of a pregnancy, frequently performed during the first 28 weeks of pregnancy (Oxford University Press). Each year, over one million women in America chose to have an abortion (WebMD). What would happen if that right to choose was taken away?
Have you ever thought about exploring space and whats out there . Well today we are going to tell you all about why we should use valuable resources to explore space, and the dangers of the earth if we don't find another living planet. If are planet gets blown up we need another planet so we won't die . Jeff Faust author of Space is Us states that ''NASA Kepler satellite,is keeping an eye on over 150,000 stars''. Faust also states that'' NASA is looking for a twin earth like planet , that supports light, oxygen, and water''.
Colonizing Mars Mars is often voted by people as being the most likely place for humans to colonize after we are done with Earth. This is often said because of Mars’s similar size to Earth and similar climate. However, Mars might not be the best place to go when we decide to make our first extra-terrestrial home. Whether you believe we should colonize another planet or not, evidence proves that moving to Venus is both logical and cost effective. There is much more promise in visiting Venus and much more we can learn.
During the series there are times that Aidan will “slip” and accidently drain someone’s blood, killing them. “I’ve been trying to be clean…for years. Decades. There aren’t really any others like me. So I slip up, I start all over.
Everyone is entitled to choose their own lifestyle, whether they want to have a child or not. Some females who seek to have children find it easy, although some are unfortunate. There are numerous of reasonings, such as being too old to be pregnant, damage to the Fallopian tube or uterus and cancer radiation or chemotherapy. As our generation goes on, many discoveries revolving biology is produced and one of it is the In Vitro Fertilization or “IVF”. It is the procedure of fertilization where they save sperm sample, take an egg from the women and physically combining it in a laboratory dish where the egg and the sperm is now called an embryo.
Many people think that space exploration is a waste of money. They think that people shouldn’t be looking to the stars and that space exploration is unnecessary. Then there is the people who think otherwise. People from NASA, or people who just in general love space ,want to fund for the cause. They think that space can help the economy improve and that there is more to space than stars and a bunch of planets.
In our advanced 21st century, it is hard to imagine our society as anything short of perfect. After all, we have come a long way from our seafaring ancestors. However, the reality is that despite how we may sometimes avoid seeing it, our society is anything but perfect. A very prevalent issue today is that despite laws being set in place to enforce the equal treatment of men and women, women all over the world today still face poor treatment and discrimination. Because of how deep and long this problem has run, revising discriminatory laws may not abolish discrimination and legislating laws that endorse gender equality may not necessarily create equality.
Small lies that we subconsciously tell ourselves mean nothing in the grand scheme of things, but if we tell ourselves small fibs on a regular bases over small and miniscule problems, what’s to stop us from saying bigger lies when bigger issues arise? One of the biggest issues, gender discrimination, must be abolished since women struggle with the gender pay gap, and unfair treatment in sports, while men struggle with the gender discrimination in divorce cases, mostimes leaving their gender as the main reason the mother receives custody over the child or children. Women may be able to participate in the same profession as men, but the large gap in pay between genders fails to attribute to the positives of said situation. The members of the Institute for Women 's Policy Research have used statistics over the past hundred years to conclude that: “Hispanic women will have to wait until 2233 and Black women will wait until 2124 for equal pay” (Pay Equity). The IWPR states that, “According to our research, if change continues at the same slow pace as it has done for the past fifty years, it will take 44 years—or until 2059—for women to finally reach pay parity.”
Creation is something people have different opinions about worldwide, this is a topic that has many different theories. There have been many different ideas that people have thought of in order to try to get people to think that it wasn’t God who created the earth. Almost always the new story got its ideas, based off the story of God’s creation of earth. Some of these crazy theories even try to show that humans were originally monkeys, before they were humans. God spent a lot of time and thought when he was creating the earth, and for people to deny it and not give God any thought is very sad.
