Exploring space can be beneficial, but it may come at a cost. In the book All Summer in a Day by Ray Bradbury and in the Life on Mars videos on the New York Times website it shows us what life would be like if we colonized other planets. In All Summer in a Day Ray Bradbury tells us about Margot who has been on Venus most of her life. In the Life of Mars videos, it shows us a real-life simulation of life on Mars in Hawaii. Colonizing other planets can be bad and cause depression for most people.
It’s not just the scenery that makes space so amazing, it’s the endless exploration possibilities. We have done so many things for our home planet, solved so many issues, been through so many wars. We as humans make our world suffer from things like global warming. We should give the world a break, and start exploring space.

Space is a vast world worth exploring. NASA (National Aeronautics and Space Administration) has been around for 59 years. The United States should be involved in space travel because it would improve life on Earth, there is extinction protection, and it keeps people interested in space travel. One of the common arguments against exploring space is that we should explore the rest of the Earth first. Although exploring Earth is important, exploring space has many benefits of its own such as improving life on earth with things like satellites.
The first attempt and success to climb Mt. Everest occured in 1953. Since then, almost 4,000 people have been able to scale the mountain, but over 230 people have not been able to climb it successfully. There is a chance of accident or death when climbing this mountain or any dangerous activity. All people should should have the right to rescue services even if they knowingly put themselves at risk because there is always a chance of an accident happening, rangers are there to save people in danger, and there are rescue vehicles being produced to be used in case of an emergency.
Running, that word gives many people different emotions that range all the way from disgust to excitement. Most people will say that they would never willingly run, at least not without some motivation and other people might even say that they enjoy it. This is why the sport of cross country is so strange to people, in fact it is strange to me as well that people would willingly run, despite the fact that I actually run cross country. The main reason that people don 't think running is fun is because it is so physically challenging. Running requires you to always be on your game, the slightest injury or distraction can prevent you from doing your best.
Also, the trip to Mars would create developments in major areas we have (Mars One). The trip to Mars would also help us attain more about the solar system, and the galaxy we live in. So many things can be developed and changed that could be better for the entire world population. Mars is an excellent way to make our society, and our world better. A trip to Mars would be a huge achievement for America.
Fund space exploration? Why should Americans do that? There are far more first world problems to deal with. I do not believe American people should continue to find space exploration. There is poverty all around America.
