Are there monsters around us? Maybe not, but there are monsters inside of us. They bring out the worst in us, they bring out retaliation, and fear. There are people that say monsters aren't real, but in the case of these stories, people do horrible monstrous things. Oftentimes people retaliate and it's no big deal, maybe punch your big brother in the arm because he ate your snack, and fear is even more common, right? We watch scary movies, go to haunted houses and we love it, people loved to be scared. But sometimes when the fear is too much, and your retaliation goes too far, we lose control. “They ran into the nursery, Wendy, Peter!”. The door to the nursery slammed”(Text 1). The Hadleys new they couldn't get out of the room, and with lions on all three sides of them, it was over. If two young kids can retaliate to the level of killing their own parents then anyone can, and that is the type of monster that people have inside of them. Wendy and Peter did the unthinkable by killing their parents. They are not the only ones who have done monstrous things in retaliation though.
