Good morning everyone, I am upset that this situation has gone this far, it is a misunderstanding from various channels of communication that has jeopardized my job. I have never done any illegal drugs in my life. I have worked at DART for nearly 25 years now, and I never have failed a drug test before. No matter the type of drug test, not once have I ever tested positive. The events that took place on February 16th are due to miscommunication, I have followed all the steps I was told to do by the Drug and Alcohol testing section at DART to return to work, and was under the impression I would be returning to work. I would like to address a few issues that played a part in us ending up in this room today. The first, address the miscommunication from the drug testing facility, and the second relate to my medical history. I ask that you please wait till I am finished to ask any questions. The situation with the testing site led to my inability to provide a sample for the test. I pointed out at least four times I was more than willing to provide a sample. The testing site also was minimally, at best, with accommodating my needs. They did not offer me water until the very end, nor was I offered the more private waiting area I learned about later, I had to sit in the upfront area surrounded by people doing physical therapy the entire time. This made it difficult for me to provide a sample, due to the distraction of the other patients, and because they keep the water in the back private waiting area, where I was not allowed to sit. All these can cause anyone with a shy bladder to not feel relaxed enough to urinate, combine that with my troubled medical history with my bladder, and it is more than fair to see why I could not
