I. Introduction Thesis Statement: Humans love animals and so to love them more logically we should give them rights. It is also a bad practice to abuse animals while they are being raised for us to eat them. We should treat them right even if we are raising them for our own purposes. We are supposed to be stewards over this earth.

Supporting Detail #2: Making breeders stick to restrictions on what they can and can’t do with breeding would make things simple so we wouldn’t have as much controversy. The Humane Society of the United States states that “The requested changes would create more specific standards for veterinary care, housing, breeding practices, socialization and placement of retired breeding dogs.” (Humane Society)
This would make the dogs healthy in pet stores and give them a better chance at life. These dogs should have the right to have a better home while they wait for their forever home.
c. Supporting Detail #3: The food we eat we don’t consider had to suffer. They don’t want us to see what happens to our food when they breed them or slaughter them. The Humane Society has gone undercover many times to investigate these facilities, and the results are sickening. They say that the overcrowded birds live in filthy cages, and some die because of illnesses or bad treatment. Sometimes most of their feathers are gone and they are bleeding. I won’t begin to talk about the way they kill them for your sake. We should give them a right to a better treatment while they are being raised for us.
