b) Not only do you have a vast selection, but you also pay less. At the Boone County Animal Shelter, there is a $60 fee for adopting a dog that has been vaccinated, microchipped, and fixed. Some breeders charge additional for those, even though breeder’s prices are usually well in the hundreds.
