Philip Riteman And Jeanine Burk: Survivors Of Children During The Holocaust

More than 7 million children and adults died during the holocaust. There are 3 main things the children, the camps, and the survivors. There were 2 survivors, Philip Riteman and Jeanine Burk, that survived all the terrible things. Also, the children had to go through the camps and many were killed, there were about the 23 main and 900 camps. Many people were put in killing centers and others were starved. First, there were 900 Concentration Camps and 23 main camps. Over 1 million children died and many adults. There were two survivors Philip Riteman, and Jeanine Burk. Philip Riteman was a Polish Jew that had to go through the trains crammed with 100 people which he quoted “measured at roughly 8ft by 20ft. Next, there was an international organization that provides financial assistance and other things for the Holocaust survivors. In the article it states “According to the The Blue Card, an international organisation that provides financial assistance and other resources to Holocaust survivors, there are an estimated 100,000 survivors still alive today, many of whom live in poverty.” Finally, Jeanine Burk was also a survivor on the holocaust and she said that if she didn’t leave her house she would get gassed. According to the History of the holocaust “He had been gassed in Auschwitz. If I had been home when they took my father, I would be dead too. They would have gassed me instantly.” Therefore, there are over 100,000 survivors to this day that have financial problems and many others
