Jesus is also seen as the Word of God in which all this were created. “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was with God in the beginning. Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made.” John 1:1-3 (The Holy Bible: The New International Version, n.d.)
Inwards (2 Cor: 5:14, NIV) Apostle Paul places his goals in the correct prospective that all leaders in the kingdom of God need to encourage believers to get along. Apostle Paul asks God first how do I please you versus looking at him first wondering how Apostle Paul could be placed and asking God to realize later.ostle Paul take the next step by checking with his fellow man to make sure that he looks too serve then before servicing himself to assure that God is pleased by his actions (Crabb, pg. 26). Another goal of counselor’s is to assist clients to realize their self-worth by helping them find out who they are in God (Crabb, pg.71). A person is seeking assistance with finding acceptance, and security in their lives, along with finding agape love in for all of the guilt that works on the mind of the saints (Crabb, pg. 72).
Jesus (the Logos) is existed before the creation together with Father (the Theos). Jesus is God itself. He is begotten from God, the Father. While the Father is not begotten from whomever. The Father and The Son have a special relation and in fellowship with each other, the perfect love between them radiates The Holy Spirit.
“Have no anxiety about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God”. -The Letter of Paul to the Philippians. Irving chose this quote because he wanted people to have an idea about what the book will be about and also give an important message to readers that can be applied to their everyday life. The message to readers is if you believe in God, there is no need to be worried because if you speak to God and tell him your problems, you will be taken care of.
The shocking alternative is that Jesus Christ is the same God who created the universe and all that’s in it and has been with God since before time began. He spoke for God, forgave sins, healed the sick, performed miracles, raised the dead, and fed the multitudes. Furthermore, Christ demonstrated His deity by rising from the dead following His crucifixion. “You can shut Him up for a fool, you can spit at Him and kill Him as a demon, or you can fall at His feet and call Him Lord and God.” (Lewis, 1980).
Athanasius defended the Trinity, which is one of the biggest beliefs and a core element in Christian faith. The Trinity is the Father, Son, and the Holy Spirit, all three united as one. During the fourth century, Arius went around teaching that Jesus the Son was different in divinity to God the Father. He points out many Scriptures proving that Jesus is saying that the Father and Son are clearly different, showing that they
Philippians 2:12-14 speaks about this spiritual co-operation between us and God, “Therefore, my dear friends, as you have always obeyed not only in my presence, but now much more in my absence, continue to work out your salvation with fear and trembling, for it is God who works in you to will and to act according to his good purpose. Do everything without complaining or arguing.” I love this scripture as it gives each of us some clear principles for living in Christ. You work out your own salvation. As salvation is a work of the Holy Spirit in our lives and by obedience we work it out or live it out!
When I think of humility and what it means, I think someone who is respectful towards others who is humble, kind and puts everyone else’s need above their own. Someone with this trait would push aside whatever they might be doing at the time and see to that the others need. To be humble you do not rub in others faces when you have something or do good, but rather be kind and respectful as they might not have the same chances as you. For me this would be when I help out at the soup kitchen in Camden with Chef S. or when i help out in my church with the children's ministry. It is important to me to help those in need as the to deserve to be happy like me.
The video by Ray Comfort addresses ten biblical signs that Jesus will return and links them to current events. By questioning people on the streets, he clarifies his position that indeed prophecy seems to be unfolding this very moment and that time may be short. The good news that he presents is that the gospel is available to all who believe. According to scripture there will indeed be a resurgence of evil and it will be as common as in the days of Noah. Fortunately God keeps His covenants and He promised never to destroy the world through a flood again.
Packer describes a few incommunicable attributes of God. These particular attributes mankind cannot duplicate or strive to be, are Lord, King, Savior, infinite, eternal, unchangeable, and just (Packer, 1973, p. 20-21). God is the creator of the world, and the Messiah that came back to save the world (Packer, 1973, p. 50, 55). Furthermore, the Lord is the epitome of holiness.
The book of Peter 1(2:4-5) states that “As you come to him, a living stone rejected by men but in the sight of God chosen and precious, you yourselves like living stones are being built up as a spiritual house, to be a holy priesthood, to offer spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ” The church is all the followers of Jesus everywhere. The beginning of the book of Acts has Jesus calling his disciples to a task bringing something called the Gospel, “The Good News” to all the world and this gospel would go out to all the outsiders the Forgotten the abandoned and the excluded and they the Outsiders would see and receive that good news as actually good news. The main purpose of a/ the church is to communicate and teach the
Jesus Christ is a man who has baffled and transformed the new age with his life and legacy. The question arose if He is just a man? Many speculated that He was just a prophet who was profoundly inspired with scriptural revelation. The truth is that He actually is the Son of God and everything he did reflected that of the Father, the
He started with was and ended with was. In the beginning was the Word and the Word was with God and the Word was God. Jesus came in flesh, dwelled among us and we knew him not. He revealed himself and we didn’t want to know him. John 1:10-11 he was in the world that was made by him and the world knew him not.
As stated before, within Catholic Christianity, Jesus Christ is known to be the Son of God. The Catechism of the Catholic Church teaches that, “The name "Jesus" signifies that the very name of God is present in the person of his Son, made man for the universal and definitive redemption from sins” (5). This proves that Jesus Christ is God himself in the form of his Son, who was born to save
Cultural rights are oftentimes qualified as an immature or underdeveloped category ' of human rights. It propose that, in comparing with other categories of human rights, namely, economic, civil, political and social, cultural rights are the undeveloped or least developed as far as their legal content, scope and enforceability are involved.
