1. Describe the brand, image, and key points of differentiation. Phillip Phillips is an American singer and songwriter. He won the 11th season of American Idol in 2012. His first album was The World from the Side of the Moon and it was released in 2012. Phillips most recent album is Behind the Light and it was released in 2014. The genres of Phillips are pop rock, and folk rock. Phillips has always been a simple and humble person. In fact, I remember that in American Idol all the coaches recommended him to be more extroverted and to change his appearance to be more attractive and he always said that he just wanted to sing he was not looking to be pretty. So, I believe that this says a lot about his brand image and personality. Also, I think that his point of differentiation is that he is very genuine. In fact, last year I went to one of his concerts and for my personal experience, I can say that that Phillip did not look for recognition. He did not have the “big start” attitude. Phillip had a great time on stage with his group. In fact, he gave to each one of his musicians the opportunity to stand out with guitar or drum solos.
