“You’re a wizard, Harry,” is one of the most famous movie/book quotes of all time. This quote comes from Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone. In some cases, the book has been called Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone. Whichever title is used, it is still the same book. The book takes place in two different settings, but both settings are in the United Kingdom. It takes place at Harry’s Uncle Vernon and Aunt Petunia’s house in Surrey, Great Britain and at the Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.
The quote that I used in my drawing was “Fear of a name increases fear of the thing itself.” This quote was originally used in context to Voldemort, the killer of Harry Potter’s parents. It was forbidden to say his name, and others would become nervous when it would be mentioned. However, this applies to everything. In my drawing, I drew pictures of different animals from the book, Fluffy, the three-headed dog, Norbert, the dragon, Professor McGonagall, an animagus who is able to shift into a cat, and Hedwig, Harry’s pet owl. What do you think of when I say Adolf Hitler? A mass murder? If I said the name Adolf Hitler in 1922, no one would know who he was. Fear develops over time, usually through actions. Fear can also be developed in a good way. Fear of a teacher, like Professor McGonagall, can be developed out of respect. It just depends on whether or not that fear is developed out of good or bad intentions.
