My goals I want to accomplish at Wichita State University is to enter into a health profession. As a high schooler, I’m still at that stage where I’m debating between a few career choices. Luckily, the two careers I’m interested in — dental hygienist and a physician assistant — are both at Wichita State University. I plan to continue my health science classes this year in high school to get into closer touch with these health professionals to decide what’s best for me. Therefore, I can enter Wichita State with more of a certain career goal I would want to go into. There’s many reasons why these careers intrigue me. Contrarily, my brother had many troubles with his teeth. He was more stubborn and irresponsible than I was. As the older sibling, I taught him the importance of taking care of his teeth. This is when I realized I liked to see people doing the right thing, such as my brother and his teeth. On the other hand, becoming a physician assistant would consist more than just my patients teeth. Therefore, I’d enjoy being able to help patients with their variety of problems. Not only that, I’ve become well oriented and able to communicate with others as I grew up and continued to interact with different kinds of people. I get along with everyone and I listen to what everyone has to say. I also like to be very hands on and have everything precise and organized. I believe these characteristics will lead and help me to my future career as a health professional. My short-term goal for now is to start college, preferably Wichita State University. I’m eager to join clubs to grow close relationships within my degree program and even others as well. Another way I would want to get more involved is to join an on-campus job and join a
