For my Capstone Project, I chose the career as physician assistant. I worked hard throughout the year to make sure I make a good grade on the Capstone Project. I job shadowed at D.D. Eisenhower Army Medical Center in the pain management unit. I spent most of the time observing my mentor while she performed check-ups on her patients. Also, I saw my mentor give injections to patients to help with pain.

Physician Assistants work in many different areas of medicine under the direct supervision of a primary care physician.
Aside from being knowledgeable in the field, Pathologists ' Assistants should also be flexible, amicable, communicate effectively, and possess time management skills. An important characteristic I noticed when observing the Pathologists ' Assistants was the amount of reasonability and trust they must gain from the Pathologists '. A patient 's diagnosis and course of treatment rely solely on the Pathologists ' Assistants ability to apply their knowledge and resources efficiently to sample appropriate areas of the given tissue. All in all, I admire the field as a whole but respect the role of a Pathologists ' Assistants because of their ability to tackle multiple tasks all at once, comply with the different demands from several Pathologists ', and remain poised under pressure. It is an honor to be able to work side-by-side with healthcare providers that go above and beyond to ensure quality service to their patients.
When becoming a physician 's assistant you must always be attentive to your grades even when in high school. This is simply because it is a very competitive course to be accepted into. If you plan on entering into the physician 's assistants program there are prerequisite courses throughout high school that you should be applying yourself if possible. These courses include chemistry and biology which is usually taken in your sophomore or junior years. Another would be anatomy and physiology which in high school is offered as an elective course and sometimes offered as a college credit if payed for.
Physician Assistant help their patients by giving them prescriptions, and asking them to visit the clinic often to see if the medicines they provided are working. They will also ask if the patient would like to set up meetings to help get their health on the
The Physical Therapist Assistant is an amazing career I will like to go in because I’ll be helping everyone. I have the skill sets to become a great one because I hate seeing people sad and injure, and I’m ambitions on what I’m doing. The job offers great pay, benefits, job opportunities, and can move up to physical therapist. I’m already working for the Miami Heat and one day I will like to work for the basketball team. I love basketball, so working for the basketball team will be a great fit for me and a life time goal.
He quickly flipped through a couple of hundred pages and pointed to a section. He said, read this first and then we will talk about it. This was the start, while I didn’t identify it at the time, of a constant back and forth between me and a couple of emergency medicine physicians who just happened to work in my local small town emergency room. They would not just answer my questions, or just tell me to do this or that, but that they would point me in the right direction to learn on my own and then be there to support me and to answer my questions. It is a practice that I have continued my entire career.
This senior project will teach me to have good time management and self determination. In order for me to complete my senior project and get a good grade on it those two things are extremely important! I know that it will be a struggle to be able to do my senior project along with all the work form my other classes, but I know that i can do It and make a good grade! This is very important to me because this senior project will determine whether or not I become a Medical Assistant because i may not enjoy it or i may really like it! None of my parents went to college so going to college and getting a good job is also extremely important to me!
Calvin Neal Exploring a Health Career: Physician Assistant Ever since my cousin Paul, whom I’ve always looked up to, went to college and became a PA, I’ve wanted to follow in his footsteps. The definition of a physician assistant is “someone qualified to assist a physician and carry out routine clinical procedures under the supervision of a physician.” However, physician assistants can be so much more than that. They work in numerous fields such as pediatrics, obstetrics, orthopaedics, and with several health care providers such as nurses, surgeons, and physicians.
My goals I want to accomplish at Wichita State University is to enter into a health profession. As a high schooler, I’m still at that stage where I’m debating between a few career choices. Luckily, the two careers I’m interested in — dental hygienist and a physician assistant — are both at Wichita State University. I plan to continue my health science classes this year in high school to get into closer touch with these health professionals to decide what’s best for me. Therefore, I can enter Wichita State with more of a certain career goal I would want to go into.
It is also the responsibility of the physician assistants to examine patients, as would a doctor, in order to obtain information about a patients’ physical condition. In some hospitals physician assistants could find themselves practicing medicine on teams with other physicians, surgeons, and other healthcare workers. They would examine, diagnose and treat a multitude of patients from a broad range of backgrounds.
The physician assistant profession was created to improve and expand healthcare based on demands in the mid 1960’s when physicians realized there was a shortage of primary care physicians. Happening concurrently was an influx of men returning from Vietnam War who were well trained and experienced in addressing medical emergencies such as traumas. To help this Eugene Stead Jr, MD, of the Duke University Medical Center, put together the first class in 1965. He selected four Navy Hospital Corpsmen who had extensive medical training while abroad at war. Stead based his teachings on his knowledge of the fast paced training of doctors serving in World War II.
Through my studies of human expression and its reflection of how people deal with world events in different ways, I developed sensitivity to other worldviews that continues to prove useful through my daily interactions with people of different backgrounds. I have learned that just like art, medicine involves pattern recognition and derives insight from experiences. Similarly, what I especially enjoy about being a medical assistant is interacting with patients on a daily basis and getting to be a part of their medical experiences, even if it is just by lending an ear. The experiences on my path to a career in medicine have made me want to make a real, tangible difference in the lives of those around me – a difference that leaves my patients in a better condition than they were in before I met them.
I began my undergraduate education at Colorado State University in 2004. I declared my major as Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing. At this point in my life, I had no clue what I wanted to do for my career and thought this would be the best option and give me the most diversity of career options. Going into my sophomore year, I began a job in the emergency department at the hospital located in the college town. During my first day, I got to see a variety of emergent and non-emergent medical procedures.
George Orwell wrote Animal Farm, is a fairy story that talks about animals overthrow the man who is the farm’s owner, and then there is one group becomes the capitalist instead the previous owner; this farm reveals a vicious cycle of tyranny. The story shows about capitalism and class structure of social class system between proletariat and bourgeoisie who owned the capital—the farm in order to exploit and govern the working class. We can clearly see that Animal Farm indicates the different social class and the politics of the capitalist, these interested me to discuss about them. The social class inequality in the story shows how the difference between the working class and the middle class is.
