The most salient image on this slide is the queen, successfully indicating to the audience that she is important as she wearing a princess peach crown and a bright white gown making stand out of the other characters.
The audience can assume that the queen holds a lot of power from the use of invisible vectors as she is looking down at William representing herself as more superior. This can also be seen in Williams perspective as he looks intimidated, looking up at the queen. By enlarging the size of the rocket ship, it allows the audience to understand William’s rush to leave the moon; establishing his impatience on returning home. This is aided by the layout of the image as the rocket is in the middle third of the picture to get the viewers’ attention.
Here can see that the image of the Earth is larger than the moon signifying to the audience that the Earth is his most important destination. We can see that the size of the moon is smaller than the rest to successfully display that the moon is not important to William anymore. The written text provides a better insight of the image, reinforcing William’s emotions, actions and thoughts as he leaves. Reading path guides the audience to the specific images which is aided by the positioning of the moon, rocket and earth as they are all arranged one after another. The colourful streaks and the stars from the contextualised background aid the reading path to naturally guide the audience so that they can understand the image
