The compelling aspect of engineering is that learning never ends and you acquire skills which can be applied universally. I try to reason out scenarios because everything can be broken down, while most people could care less. I participate in Principia where students come together and complete tasks such as building bridges or advanced problems in teams. I realized Mechanical was my forte as I became more comfortable with my hands. I created a trebuchet, speaker, domino set and an exotic pen alongside with drawings within a semester. The primary focus of this article is to reveal the human nature of rejection to change. Humans are trapped in a cave filled with the mere shadows of moving objects across a fire and are confined to chairs where voices bounce of the walls and this is their perception of reality. One day, an individual is exploited to the real world and it's confusing aspects of space, earth and time. He adapts to this new world and tries to explain it to the others in the cave, but everyone rejects his ideas as it seems out of the norm. This has changed my mindset to be more skeptical; everything we learn is simply theories and minimal material is actually factual.
