First person point of view is a critical part of this book and gives the readers a better understanding of the book. The first person perspective coming from the main character gives two perspectives, that of him as a child and as an adult. Throughout the novel the readers are given the opportunity to know the readers thoughts and feelings, along with seeing the actions through what Amir personally sees. This point of view is significant because you see the maturity in his thoughts as he grows up and how he changes on a personal level.
