Poker Players Alliance The Poker Players Alliance, or PPA for short, is a non-profit interest group which was founded in 2005 with the goal of protecting poker players’ rights and liberties, as well as promoting the game of poker. The mission of the PPA is to provide a unified voice for poker players and to work with lawmakers and regulators to create a fair and safe playing environment for the millions of Americans who enjoy playing the game.
