John Pope In 1770 John Pope was born in prince William County, Virginia. He inter the war of 1812 he was unsuccessful to serving a single term in the us military. Win he was a young kid he lost his arm to a farming accent. His father put him in a privet school in bartend, Kentucky.
John Gotti Biography John Gotti was born on October 27, 1940, in the South Bronx of New York. Gotti was raised by his two parents, John Joseph Gotti, Sr. and Philomena Gotti, along with his other 12 siblings. At the time, Gotti’s mother and father were unable to secure enough funds to support the whole family, which led to Gotti working in a club at the age of 12. Fortunately for Gotti, the club he worked in was owned by Carmine Fatico, who helped Gotti secure “financial funds” through the Gambino family. The Gambino family in particular was one of the 5 biggest crime syndicates at the time and would give Gotti the money to help support his family by making him join their ranks.
Urban II was the pope from 1088 to 1099 when he died. His role in society was important because he set the foundation for the Roman Catholic Church. He influenced many other clerics and noblemen to stick up for Christian faith, so the Catholics could get what they truly deserved out of this world. Urban II’s greatest accomplishment was the crusades. Europe’s economy deeply excelled during these years, which turned this country into an economic role model.

I would like to attend Archbishop Mitty High School for many reasons. Some of those reasons are the community, the academics, and the athletics. After shadow days, the open house, and hearing from students one of the primary reasons to attend Archbishop Mitty High School is the community. The students and teachers really know and care about each other. There is so much love to go around for everyone.
Paul Revere was a respected silversmith and avid colonialist that showed his courage and valorousness to the American people by giving them his knowledge and leadership. Paul Revere was born on New Year’s Day 1735, on a shipping wharf in North End Boston. Paul was the third out of twelve children, and eventually the eldest surviving son. Revere attended North End Writing School where he learned reading, writing, and arithmetic.
Saint Francis was born in Assisi late 1181, early 1182 being one of seven children, and his parents were Perto and Pica di Pietro di Bernardone. Perto was a wealthy cloth merchant and Pica was a beautiful french woman that also owned farmland around Assisi. Francis was originally born Giovanni but when his father came back from business he continuously called him Francesco. While growing up a sinner, Francesco had a love for his riches, partying, friends and the luxury life.

In Christianity, the Bishop of Rome, or the Pope, is the leader of the religion. The Pope has had significant influence on the world stage throughout history. The Pope in the early stages of Christianity helped its rapid spread. Through the middle ages, the Pope was just as large of a political leader in Europe as he was a religious leader within Christianity. His influence of the spread of the Christian faith as well as the developments of modern European culture and history makes the Pope and his Papacy one of the most influential and enduring institutions in the history of the world.
“Fides ET ratio” which was written in 1998 by Pope St. John Paul the II to all the bishops to demonstrate the relationship between faith and reason. Pope St. John Paul the II wrote the encyclical to support and at the same time help the old Christian philosophy. "Faith and reason are like two wings on which the human spirit rises to the contemplation of truth; and God has placed in the human heart the desire to know the truth — in a word, to know himself — so that by knowing and loving God, men and women can come to the fullness of the truth about themselves" (n. 1) With that sentence Pope St. John Paul the II begins the encyclical, Fides et Ratio.
