Poseidon is a good guy, especially compared to his brothers. Hades isn’t exactly a crowd favorite and Zeus isn’t so bad, but most would prefer to be around Poseidon. Ask anyone who the nicest of the brothers is and this is what they would tell you. Ask me and I could give you thousands of reasons why Poseidon is the worst. I’m Nate, one of Poseidon’s sons. I know what you’re thinking. Nate? Seems like a pretty boring name for the son of one of the most powerful Gods, right? Well I am pretty boring guy, so it fits me. Gods like Poseidon often have many children, but most are just demigods, half-God and half-mortal. Unlike my brothers and sister, I am a true God. I arrived and immediately thought I had made a mistake and should leave. There was seaweed covering the entrance and jagged rocks all around. All you could see behind the seaweed curtain was black. Not exactly somewhere I wanted to venture into, especially since I had no means to protect myself. The current changed and I was pushed through the seaweed, into the cave. “No turning back now,” I said to myself. I slowly made my way through the black cave, when I suddenly heard a voice. “Who enters my cave? The seaweed was there to keep you out!” called a voice from inside the cave. “I am Nate,“ I said. “I just wanted to ask you a few questions about your journey to find your talent.” “Nobody’s ever come looking for information like that,” said the voice, “but I suppose you may enter.” I took that as my cue to keep moving forward, and eventually began to see a light in the distance. I think as hard as I can to try and figure out how to get rid of it. I think about Nereus and wonder how he did it. I suddenly feel the power surge through me and can instantly tell that something is different about me. I lunge at the white cloud and the part I touched disappears. “Did you see that?” I yell to Oplo. “Yeah! Do it again!” he says. I try again, but this time the cloud turned back into a small animal. I lunge again, and this time I touch a limb and it falls off. I try to strike again and it turns into the bigger animal again. I go right for the stomach, trying to damage a larger part. I make contact, and put a hole right through its belly. I try to hit the head, but it turns back to a cloud. I try again but this time I miss by a mile and the cloud grows. “Hurry,” says Oplo. “You need to hit it again before it grows more!” he says. I throw my entire body into a cloud and
