And even the positive ones somehow had some negative aspects to them. For example, the film mentioned “the subconscious images that the rest of the world will have because of the roles Latinos play in
One may ask what would be a long lasting ultimate message, a extraordinary example of this is, You must do whatever it takes to change the world. This is a life learning lesson due to it showing the
For example, sanitation workers had to carry bags of garbage that had holes in them and since they were paid low wages, they ended up poor on welfare. Not only was this film was a way of seeing another turning point during the civil rights movement but also, African Americans fighting for justice. Even though I was not born during that time, I can understand how they felt because it wasn’t that easy. In today’s society racism isn’t as bad as what it was during that time. Besides we still have times were we face racism in our lives so I would say in some areas racism is still a

Towards the beginning of this movie, many blacks were looking at the white men with hatred for raping and nearly killing a ten year old black girl. The men transformed the innocent little girl’s life forever. The men were instantly
Although the movie does seem to want to get a point across about racism being relevant even in mainly black neighborhoods, it mostly furthers society’s institutionalized racist thoughts towards the black
Black Panther: A Nation Under Our Feet, written by Ta-Neheisi Coates and illustrated by Brian Stelfreeze can be interpreted as a fictional representation of the modern world which often fails to recognize its own history amongst technological advancement and corruption. In the middle of issue #3, the reader is shown Shuri in the land of the Djalia, a land of memory, along with a griot, discussing the loss of history and storytelling in Wakanda, which has been lost to struggles for power, industrialization and the loss of history to bigger and better things (Coats 3.9). Stelfreeze uses many elements to show this by creating a juxtaposition between the current state of Wakanda and its history, including nature, lighting and colour. Along with
This movie did a great job of showing how certain society’s work, races such as African Americans, Hispanics, and Persians/Asians were being treated wrong in the movie, and it displays the sociological concepts.
However, conflict between the protagonists was unavoidable due to their opposing personalities and ways. Nonetheless, their values, propaganda, goals, and friendship triumphed over these adversities. These students, along with their families and other black men, embodied the film's most important themes: empowerment, equality, and education.
In watching the documentary of the Black Panther Party (movement) and how they were form to better the communities around them. The Government officials, FBI in particular infuriated to destroy them in light to keep power among the weaker individuals of society. The individuals happen to be of color (Blacks, Latinos, and Asians). I did however admire how the documentary portrayed black culture at that time. This organization was created in self -defense for black communities. This organization not only offered self defense but many other helpful programs that I will mention briefly. Researching about the Black Panther women sparked my interest because my mother is a strong influential woman, similarly to the women who were apart of this organization.
For this section of the paper, I am going to analyze how the film depicts African Americans negatively by observing the characters Agent K, Jones, and Agent J, Smith. Furthermore, Jones character is strong, stoic, serious, authoritative and intellectual. Moreover, he is also responsible and is a hero. In the scene, where Smith lets a pulsing ball of chaos lose at MIB headquarters, Jones puts on a glove, a prop, and catches the ball . Furthermore, the prop is a symbol of chaos, and when Jones captures the ball with the glove, this symbolizes his ability to end and stabilize any threats .
In the sequence of events of this film, it showcases many social-communication issues that even people face in the real world. The discrimination and stereotyping of the black community and how the whites perceive them to be are one of them.
