The famous phrase "The sun never sets on the British Empire" clearly delineates its tactic to conquer the world, with the purpose of benefiting the colonies to keep its control and interests. While it is true that these benefits were often intended to serve their own interests and maintain their control over the colonies it is important to note that the British Empire brought some positive impacts to the regions it colonized.
