British Imperialism on India had many positives and negatives but the influence of the British was overall more good than bad and brought lots of new ideas to the motherland.
Imperialism brought new ways of learning and communicating while introducing new transportation methods to India. Transportation methods and communication were introduced to India by the British. Telephones got better while paved roads were introduced. This was a positive effect because it boosted the economy and way of living for the Indian people. Modern technology and education were also benefits for India. Great Britain connected India to the modern world through science, technology, medicine, and modern ideas. Which in turned help create a surplus of advanced machines

One of the benefits of increased population was that the production of goods increased. The population increased because of the better usage of hygiene, the increased amount of vaccinations and medicines available, and a larger food supply. Great Britain encouraged traveling herders to settle down and become farmers, teaching them about how to take care of their crops so that their lands would be fertile.The increase of excess crops helped the population growth of India. Sanitation improved and the Indian people were taught healthier habits, and taught basic hygiene and cleanliness. The loss of money was a big problem because India was having problems with the British rule. Great Britain became more like governors instead of trading partners. The problems with Great Britain and its leaders started to take away a lot of money. Another problem was Britain kind of ruined India’s previous economy because Great Britain was forcing them to import their goods from Britain and not buy their own goods from India. Industries such as the handmade cloth industry, clock-making, metal, and carpentry industries, fell because cloth was made of better quality from Great Britain because of mass production. India soon became very dependent of Britain due to the dependency on Britain's imported goods. India was made to only import goods from Great Britain and what couldn't be found in India was imported from Britain. India was left unable to support themselves on their own because of British interference with trade and businesses. Another problem was famine. The British encouraged farmers to grow cash crops, and the growing population wasn't able to afford the amount of food causing many to starve. Britain controlled the government and didn't allow the Indian people to have a say or be a part of politics or run for positions of power. It got so bad that there was a revolution against the British called Sepoy Mutiny. The people of India were fed up and fought back. The Sepoy Mutiny spread to of Northern
