Being that I have grown up within a hospital setting, I understand how good care and communication by clinicians is necessary for a patient to heal. In achieving this I will build upon my already caring nature, and interact with patients and providers regularly to better hone and understand the interpersonal skills that are vital for working in

Providers are being held more accountable for the care they provide and expect to receive payments for. The ambulatory care model is expected to help in decreasing the number of impatient stays, hospital acquired illnesses and injuries, and increase provider and patient awareness and focus on lifestyles that promote long term healthy living and habits. According to the American Institute of Architects who helps build ambulatory centers, “Advances in technology have enabled more care to be delivered through noninvasive procedures and administering drugs, and have also allowed the management of care to be more seamless and portable. Flexibility in the delivery of care allows for more treatment to take place away from the hospital, in ambulatory settings, in the doctor’s exam room, or even in the comfort of the patient’s home.
There are many different types of buildings in the world and they all affect humans in different ways. For example, most prisons are designed with very few windows which causes the interior of the building to be dim and reliant on artificial light, which results in depressed moods in the prison environment. This paper focuses on how the architecture of houses impacts social behavior. This topic is sociologically significant because knowing the answers to how architecture affects human behavior and human relations will help architects make better houses for people if they know how design affects the inhabitant’s behavior. If we can better understand how architecture affects families, then this knowledge will eventually result in a better society for all people to live
o Light: Have adequate lighting in the patient’s room. o Noise: Keep noise to the minimum. o Health of houses: The five essentials of efficient drainage, cleanliness, pure water, light and pure air.
Utilizing that knowledge in architectural and urban design can guide architecture towards a more humane experience.

While they play just as important a role in everyday spaces, they are often left out of design considerations. Touch, smell, and other sensations are key in what we call experience. They are the receptors with which we move through and understand space.
