About 60 million people were killed during war war 2. These two girls were thinking positively even though they went through bad times. Positive thinking is the best way to respond to conflict. They thought positively because they wanted to inspire people. They fought hard and went through all bad stuff but they handled it very well . In the story it says “ I couldn't go to the movies...but somehow we managed to have fun” so that is saying that they were in war they still had fun. And they thought positive by finding something else to do and they didn't think negatively and said negative stuff.
