Post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) - a mental health condition that's triggered by a terrifying event, either experiencing it or witnessing it. About 6 of every 10 (or 60%) of men and 5 of every 10 (or 50%) of women experience at least one trauma in their lives (PTSD). Although some people experience trauma and never have any signs of PTSD, it does not mean that you are not at risk. Most people associate PTSD with war veterans or people in that category, any person who has even the smallest tragic event in life is susceptible to PTSD. The beginning of all pre-hospital care began in the 1970’s. (BIRTH). Although there were many questions still in play about all the steps and protocol for the pre-hospital care, the rate of members grew.
