Dominion: The Power of Man, the Suffering of Animals, and the Call to Mercy was written by an individual named Matthew Scully. He is an American author, journalist, and former senior speechwriter and special assistant to George W. Bush. Scully conducts investigating journalism to gather information and facts from places like the Safari Club International's 27th annual convention, the International Whaling Commission's 52nd annual meeting, and a Smithfield industrial pig complex in North Carolina. The book argues that people have lost respect and sense how to treat animals. As a society we value our own interests before others. The mankind sees this planet to be created for its needs, thus every living organism and non human animal is there for its use.
