Practical Jokes In our lives, we all have either played a practical joke on someone or was the victim of a practical joke. Practical jokes can be fun for the perpetrator, but can be cruel for the victim. Like Vera from the short story “The Open Window” by Henry Gilfond, I have also played a trick on someone before. Vera’s trick also worked better than mine because it had more originality. My trick is very basic so it didn’t last long until my sister figured out someone pranked her. I have to give it up to Vera for pulling off the prank
